Zukunftsprofessorinnen im Projekt PRO4-HSRW

Die Hochschule Rhein-Waal (HSRW) stärkt mit ihrem PRO4-HSRW-Programm die Förderung des wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchses mit dem Ziel der Weiterentwicklung des Karriereweges zur Fachhochschulprofessur. Das Gesamtvorhaben führt zu einer nachhaltigen Stärkung und Entwicklung des professoralen Personals an der HSRW. Es hat Modellcharakter für die Karriereentwicklung des wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchses in Gänze und wird im Rahmen des Bund-Länder-Programms ‚FH-Personal‘ gefördert.

Im Rahmen des Projekts konnten nun mit Prof. Dr. Lily Chambers, Prof. Dr. Simone Pauling, Prof. Dr. Corinna Titze und Prof. Dr. Mona Wappler vier Professorinnen der HSRW für eine 12+1-Zukunftsprofessur benannt werden. Das Gesamtvorhaben führt zu einer nachhaltigen Stärkung und Entwicklung des professoralen Personals an der HSRW. Es hat Modellcharakter für die Karriereentwicklung des wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchses in Gänze und wird im Rahmen des Bund-Länder-Programms ‚FH-Personal‘ gefördert.

Future-professors in the project PRO4-HSRW

With its PRO4-HSRW program, Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences (HSRW) strengthens the promotion of young scientists with the aim of further developing the career path to a professorship at a University of Applied Sciences (UAS). In the program, the HSRW aims not only to address individual challenges of career development and personnel recruitment, but also to offer an innovative concept that 1) has a career development scenario in mind, 2) university policy developments (doctorates at the UAS, internationalization, strengthening knowledge transfer and research at UAS) and 3) specifically developing a holistic view of equality and diversity, which is of fundamental importance for the current challenges of personnel recruitment.

As part of the project, four female professors from the HSRW, Prof. Dr. Lily Chambers, Prof. Dr. Simone Pauling, Prof. Dr. Corinna Titze and Prof. Dr. Mona Wappler, have been nominated for the 12+1 Future Professorship. The overall project leads to a sustainable development of the professorial staff at the HSRW. It is a model character for the career development of young academics. This project is funded within the framework of the federal-state program ‘FH-Personal’.

InGA is the ‘International Graduate Academy’, which is currently being established at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences. One of the aims of InGA is to provide doctoral candidates and those interested in doing a doctorate with opportunities for university-wide exchange and networking. At the kick-off event, we will get to know each other for the first time. We would also like to discuss how HSRW can support doctoral students on their career path. In addition, a doctoral student who has just successfully completed her doctorate at HSRW will give an account of her experiences.

Nächste Woche findet das erste InGA-Café für (zukünftig) Promovierende der Hochschule Rhein-Waal statt: am 21. Juli 2022, 12:05 – 14:05 Uhr, im Senatssaal (Raum 04 02 004) am Campus Kleve.

Zusätzlich ist eine Teilnahme über Webex möglich. (Weitere Informationen und Meeting Code s. Flyer.

InGA ist die ‚International Graduate Academy‘, die sich derzeit an der Hochschule Rhein-Waal im Aufbau befindet. InGA hat u.a. zum Ziel, Promovierenden und an einer Promotion Interessierten Möglichkeiten zum hochschulweiten Austausch und zum Networking zu geben.

Bei der Kick-off-Veranstaltung steht ein erstes Kennenlernen auf dem Programm. Außerdem möchten wir einen Austausch darüber starten, wie die Hochschule Rhein-Waal Promovierende auf ihrem Karriereweg unterstützen kann. Darüber hinaus wird eine Doktorandin, die ihre Promotion an der HSRW gerade erfolgreich abgeschlossen hat, eine Erfahrungsbericht geben.

Kick-Off: FH-Personal

The federal-state program “FH-Personal” supports 64 universities in Germany, including Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences, which had a successful application. Its four-stage program “PRO4-HSRW” is designed to support young academics with the aim of further development of their careers as professors.

On October 5, 2021, a Kick-Off event is organised by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and Forschungszentrum Jülich GmbH. In this event various Universities presented their projects in poster session.

For “PRO4-HSRW”, the new project coordinator, Dr. Maryam Bolouri, presented the project at the Kick-Off event. The expert for Science Communication supports with her expertise the project director, the president Dr. Oliver Locker- Grütjen. The vision of the project “PRO4-HSRW” is to offer sustainable strengthening and personal development of the professors at the HSRW.

Das Bund-Länder-Programm „FH-Personal“ fördert 64 Hochschulen im ganzen Bundesgebiet und auch die Hochschule Rhein-Waal war mit ihrem Antrag erfolgreich. Mit ihrem vierstufigen Programm „PRO4-HSRW“ soll der wissenschaftliche Nachwuchs mit dem Ziel der Weiterentwicklung des Karrierewegs zur Fachhochschulprofessur gefördert werden.

Am 5. Oktober 2021 fand eine vom Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung organisierte Auftaktveranstaltung statt, bei der die verschiedenen Projekte vorgestellt wurden.

Für „PRO4-HSRW“ hat die neue Projektkoordinatorin, Dr. Maryam Bolouri, das Vorhaben präsentiert. Die Expertin für Wissenschaftskommunikation unterstützt mit ihrer Expertise die Projektleitung, die beim Präsidenten Dr. Oliver Locker- Grütjen liegt. Das Gesamtvorhaben „PRO4-HSRW“ soll langfristig zu einer besseren Förderung sowie zu einer nachhaltigen Stärkung und Entwicklung des professoralen Personals an der HSRW führen.
